Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne (Case of 6)

Producer

Laurent-Perrier was founded by Eugene Laurent in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812... While they are known first and foremost for their Rosé, they are now one of the most highly-regarded Champagne houses due to the quality of the entire range, all vinified by winemaker Michel Fauconnet. This extends from the non-vintage Brut to the Vintage and the iconic Grand Siècle Brut, which competes with the very best that Champagne has to offer.

Vineyards

Chardonnay is the dominant grape variety in Laurent-Perrier`s Brut. There is an unusually high proportion for a Non Vintage champagne (at 45% it is roughly double the average percentage of Chardonnay used in NV blends), which gives a wine of elegance, finesse and pure citrus fruit on the palate. Extensive work is carried out choosing vineyard parcels from more than 55 crus or villages in order to guarantee complexity, consistency and quality.

Vinification

Between 10 and 20% of reserve wines are used to add depth and interest. Laurent-Perrier Brut is aged on its lees for approximately three years (this is double the legal minimum ageing) to increase the toasty complexity and encourage the fine, persistent mousse. A dosage of 12 grams per litre is used to preserve its balance and natural freshness.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold in colour with a steady flow of fine and persistent bubbles. The aroma is delicate yet complex, fresh and well-balanced with hints of citrus and white fruits. Well defined on the palate and subtly rounded with expressive flavours. The fruit progressively emerges to reveal a finely balanced Champagne displaying great length on the finish.
