Vinho Verde when translated means ‘Green Wine’. This does not relate to the colour but the fact that it is young and fresh. This classic example is from the rugged slopes of Alto Lima and Vez and is an ideal wine for an English summer day with a BBQ or simply by itself. Style: Vinho Verde Serving Temperature: 8 - 10C Suggestions: Crisp acidity means it cuts through fatty meats at BBQ’s, ideal with shellfish, fish, sushi, tomatoes or simply as an aperitif.

Clean, crisp and fresh but still with plenty of character, the 2010 Pinot Grigio is lively and aromatic, with the classic freshly baked bread crust perfumes and ripe, juicy pear character on the youthful, crisp palate which make this such a popular variety. Lovely almondy perfumes on the finish, with a twist of lime.

A lemon-yellow colour with lifted citrus fruit aromas on the nose as well as a touch of elderflower. The racy palate has an apple, lemon and stone fruit character, is medium bodied and has a refreshing, long finish.

The lively citrus-fruit aromas lead to an extremely well-balanced wine with fresh acidity and ripe apple, lemon and melon fruit character. It is full-bodied but refreshing with textbook Chablis minerality and a long, fine finish.

The 2010 is pure lemon/yellow in colour with vibrant aromas of nettle, grapefruit and passionfruit. The palate is elegant in texture, with refreshing acidity and medium body. There is plenty of citrus and mineral flavour, with a long, thirst-quenching finish.

Lemon zest, cashews, freshly picked white nectarines and river stones on the nose. The palate has granny smith apples and green pineapple. There is a bright crunchy acidity with some savoury hints.

Pale yellow in colour with a crisp, fresh nose with perfumes of white peaches and ripe apples. On the palate it is lively and soft, with juicy fruit characters and a zesty finish.

Pale but bright, the 2010 Viognier has intense fruity aromas with hints of apricots and peaches, that continue through to the juicy fruity palate. The delicious fresh finish is long and scented, with stone fruit and citrus complexity.

The 2010 Pouilly Fumé exhibits all the rich complexity you would expect from such a favourable vintage. Passionfruit and mango tropical fruit flavours mingle with fresh citrus notes and the typical slate and mineral character expected from classic Sancerre. Full, balanced and vivacious, this wine finishes with excellent length.

This light wine has a citric colour and smells like green apples and stoned fruits. On the palate it has good acidity and deep freshness and is extremely well balanced. Featured in the July edition of decanter magazine this is an excellent Vinho Verde made from premium Loureiro grapes. It is limpid and brilliant with citrinous colour, fruity and floral aromas and dry, fruity, fresh and floral on the palate. Sit back and enjoy a great tasting wine that represents fantastic value for money.

The 2010 is buttercup yellow in colour. It has aromas of lemon and peach, with a hint of orange zest. The palate is soft, with round, appealing citrus flavours mingling with mango and pear. The acidity is crisp but well-matched by the fruity finish.

A bright, clear wine. The aromas are intense with good complexity, showing well-integrated perfumes of grapefruit, spice, orange blossom and apple. These carry through to the palate and the crisp, refreshing character leads to a lifted finish

Both varieties were picked by hand and after crushing the must was cooled and cold maceration took place before pressing. The lees were separated by cold settling and selected yeasts were inoculated for fermentation. After the final blend was complete, the wine was bottled to preserve the fresh fruit characters of the varietals.

A complex blend of lime, guava, passionfruit and fresh cut grass come through on the nose to be followed by a refined and elegant palate. Attractive notes of passionfruit and pineapple are enhanced by the mineral texture and great depth of flavour.

Fragrant lemongrass and gooseberry notes with pronounced citrus blossom and lemon rind overtones. A supple juicy mid palate, with delicious racy lemon and grapefruit flavours and a minerally counterpoint. Lovely balance, harmonious and round, finishing with crisp clean finish and lasting flavour.

The white Cotes du Rhone is a bright yellow in colour with youthful aromas of peach, pear and white flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and appealing juicy stone fruits.

Vibrant pale lemon green in colour with lifted white peach perfumes on the nose with touches of rockmelon, paw paw, lime zest and green apple. On the palate it is well balanced with lively acidity supporting the ripe grapefruit and lime character and a creamy mouthfeel from the subtle lees contact.

Light straw in colour with a brilliant pale green hue. Lifted, brightly fruity aromas with tropical notes and citrus undertones. Fabulously fresh. Dry and refreshing with pink grapefruit, cut grass and passion fruit flavours.

Light, lime-gold in colour, the nose opens with fresh and lively aromas of citrus fruit especially grapefruit and lime. Medium-bodied and juicy on the palate, it has a zesty twist on the finish.

Bright intense yellow in colour, this wine has perfumes of tropical fruit and cantaloupe melon on the nose, with the Semillon adding a waxy, lemony note. Similar characteristics follow through to the extremely fresh palate.

The 2010 is bright yellow in colour with lively orange, lemon and crushed herbs on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, with excellent balance of natural acidity and ripe citrus and stone fruit. The finish is long and fresh.

2010 produced fine, elegant and highly aromatic wines, with scents of peaches, citrus fruit and gooseberries. Vibrant and very fresh on the palate, it is beautifully balanced and delicate, with bright acidity and lovely lime zest characters. There is a touch of residual sugar which rounds out its long, perfumed finish. A light, lively Riesling.

Youthful lemon in colour with lively, crisp perfumes of fresh green apples and a touch of blackcurrant on the nose. It has a characteristic spicy quality to the palate, with a perfect balance between zesty acidity and ripe exotic fruit. The finish is fresh and aromatic.

With its greenish yellow hue, this wine yields aromas of ripe yellow peaches and hints of tropical fruits. On the palate, it is tightly knit, elegant and round. A complex, expressive Riesling with a long, refreshing finish.

Pale lemon-yellow in colour with lovely aromas of white pepper and spice. On the palate, it is surprisingly full-bodied and ripe, with dill, fennel and mineral characters which are both spicy and savoury. Tangy acidity is one of the hallmarks of the Grüner Veltliner grape and acts as a perfect foil for its rich, ripe palate and long finish.

Light gold in colour with perfumes of white flowers and stone fruit on the nose. On the palate it is tightly-knit and intense, with flavours of ripe pear, lemon curd and lanolin offset by a rich, racy acidity. The oak ageing is just enough to bring out the honeyed character of the grape without masking the chalky, gunsmoke, minerality which characterises top Chardonnay wines.

Initially fairly restrained on the nose this wine comes forward on the palate with intense pear and melon notes with touches of white peach and layers of floral notes. It is racy with plently of minerality, a smooth texture and a long lasting finish.
